The course was given by Chris Ó Mianáin, a former pupil of the college and a graduate of Letterkenny Institute of technology. Chris covered a broad range of subjects during the course; the students really enjoyed it and found it very beneficial.[/lang_en-uk]

[lang_en-uk]Transition year student, Thomas Vance, has made his own bodhrán as part of his studies. Thomas is studying traditional music during his transition year and learning the accordian as well. As part of his studies, he made a bodhrán with the help of his technology teacher, Patrick Queenan. It’s not often one sees a bodhrán with a red rim, but the colour doesn’t really matter because it makes a grand sound.[/lang_en-uk]

The students sold badges of the the Thomas Meagher Foundation to raise the money. The College and the Education & Training Bord will add the same amount to the sum collected so that, in total, the Make a Wish Foundation will receive €310. [/lang_en-uk]
